Biodegradable Catering Supplies (BCS) offers a range of premium, biodegradable products for the hospitality sector. With strong organic growth built from word-of-mouth and door to door sales, business owner Marty Perkins felt it was time to take the brand to the next level and target a wider range of businesses looking to lower their environmental impact.
To reach this next level of growth, Marty engaged Maer Group to build a new website, video production and photography that would form the backbone of a new digital marketing strategy for BCS.
Marty’s goal was to better educate potential new customers, streamline purchasing and support the great customer experience that BCS customers have come to know and love.
Maer Group was engaged to deliver:
- New website
- E-commerce functionality
- SEO optimisation for capturing product search
- Digital marketing strategy
- Videos & photos to showcase the brand ethos (see below)
- Digital advertising
With customers now able to order and pay online with a touch of a button through BCS’s new website, Marty has saved considerable time, allowing him to focus on business development and customer service.
In 2021, Maer Group introduced BCS to new audiences, through a targeted digital advertising campaign across the Google network and social media platforms. The campaign was highly targeted towards café owners and managers in south-east Queensland.
The campaign results put BCS on the map for hundreds on potential new clients.
“The response was fantastic,” Marty said.
“We received a consistent flow of leads for a minimal budget and I received regular feedback from venues I visited that had seen us online – so the ads were hitting their target.”
Since then, Maer Group has developed a series of promotional videos showcasing BCS’s products, customer testimonials, and overall ethos. All of which will form part of BCS’s new digital marketing strategy to roll out over the coming months.
Maer Group understands that social proof is one of the most powerful marketing tools there is – customers trust other customers. As a part of this project’s scope, customer testimonials and their journey have formed a large portion of the promotional videos. This in turn will help increase sale leads and conversion, increase website enquiries, and reach different target audiences.
The process involved in developing these videos included sourcing of a photographer/videographer, detailed production brief, runsheets, sourcing of models, conducting interviews, shoot day coordination, and video editing and development.
“Matt and the team at Maer Group have done an outstanding job with these promotional videos,” said Marty.
“From the development of the production brief right through to their video editing & development, their professionalism and creativity have been second to none. I’m excited to see what new business these videos bring.”
